Moody. Morgan pastored at the famous Westminster Chapel. He traveled extensively and spoke in conferences throughout the British Empire and the United States. He authored numerous commentaries. He went home to heaven in 1945.

Lesson 1
Matthew 1. This lesson looks at the genealogy and birth of Jesus. We see the character of Joseph as a godly man. Is the genealogy accurate in Matthew?
Lesson 2
Matthew 2. Why was Bethlehem and Nazareth looked down upon? This lesson looks at the Old Testament prophecies concerning Jesus birth.

Matthew 3. This lesson looks at John the Baptist. Did John fulfill any Old Testament prophecies?

Matthew 4. This lesson looks at the temptation of Jesus and the call of the first disciples.

Matthew 5:1-12. This lesson looks at the Beatitudes. Is the Sermon on the Mount for everyone today?

Matthew 5:13-20. This lesson explores the meaning of being salt and light in the world.
Lesson 7
Matthew 5:21 – 6:18. This lesson continues in the Sermon on the Mount. This time looking at topics ranging from murder to love.

Matthew 6:19-34. Jesus deals with our treasures and worries in this lesson.
Lesson 9
Matthew 7. Are Christians ever to judge others? This lesson deals with judging others, false prophets, and the importance of building our faith on a firm foundation.
Lesson 10
Matthew 8. This lesson deals with Jesus’ miracles and the casting out of demons.
Lesson 11
Matthew 9:1-34. This lesson continues looking at some of the miracles that Jesus performed and their significance to the ministry of Jesus.
Lesson 12
Matthew 9:35 – 10:23. The calling and sending out of the twelve apostles is covered. We see that persecution and hardship is to be expected for believers just like it was for Jesus.
Lesson 13
Matthew 10:24 – 11:19. We see the questions of John the Baptist and learn more about the hardships of being a believer. Did John lose his faith in Jesus as the Messiah?
Lesson 14
Matthew 11:20-30. This lesson looks at the judgment that falls on unrepentant cities. But Jesus gives us an option for rest. Are you willing to go to Jesus for rest?
Lesson 15
Matthew 12:1-37. This lesson looks at the growing conflict between Jesus and the religious leaders.
Lesson 16
Matthew 12:38-50. The sign of Jonah is discussed as we see the significance of it for understanding Jesus mission. We also learn that our connection with the family of God is greater than with any physical family.
