Lesson 1

Mark 1:1-3. This lesson is an introduction to the Gospel of Mark. We learn about the author, when it was written, and why it was written. We also see how it compares to the other Gospels.

Lesson 2

Mark 1:4-34. This lesson looks at John the Baptist and the beginning of Jesus’ life and ministry.

Lesson 3

Mark 1:35-2:12. Jesus ministry of healing and preaching with the disciples. We see the healing of the paralytic and the lessons learned from it. Lastly Jesus brings conflict with the Sabbath controversies.

Lesson 4

Mark 3:7-35. Opposition to the Servant of God is seen, but also his ministry of power among those who seek him in faith. Jesus also appoints the twelve.

Lesson 5

Mark 4. This lesson looks at the three parables of the kingdom and the calming of the storm.

Lesson 6

Mark 5. This lesson looks at three healings and what we learn from them. The healing of a demon possessed man, the healing of the woman who touched Jesus’ robe, and the healing of Jairus’ daughter.

Lesson 7

Mark 6. In this lesson we get to eaves drop on the lessons Jesus conveyed to His disciples after their work, the death of John the Baptist, and the miracle feeding of the thousands.

Lesson 8

Mark 7 – 8:26. This lesson shows the gathering of the adversaries of the Lord. Jesus also deals with tradition in this section.

Lesson 9

Mark 8:27-9:29. Important stages in the ministry of Christ are discussed as Christ turns to focus on the disciples in his teaching ministry. The kingdom of God and the transfiguration of Christ are also seen in these verses.

Lesson 10

Mark 9:30-50. More private teaching for the disciples where Jesus explained his death and resurrection, leadership in the kingdom, and the graveness of sin.

Lesson 11

Mark 10. Did Jesus ever deny his deity? Jesus teaching on marriage and divorce, and the encounter with the rich young ruler are covered in this passage. We also see the cost of following Christ.

Lesson 12

Mark 11-12. The cursing of the fig tree and the driving out of the money changers from the temple are examined and we see the testing of the Pharisees as well.

Lesson 13

Mark 13-14:26. The Olivet Discourse and the duty of his followers are taught in this lesson. We also see the Passover dinner and its significance.

Lesson 14

Mark 14:27-52. The resurrection of Christ is foretold again and Jesus prays in the Garden of Gethsemane. Then we see Jesus’ betrayal and mock trial.

Lesson 15

Mark 15. The crucifixion of Christ.

Lesson 16

Mark 16. The discovery of the resurrected Christ and the significance of His call to the nations.
