Dr. Walvoord goes on to cover important themes such as: work, persecution, judgment day, where does a person go when he dies, and the rapture of the church. Dr. John Walvoord was Professor of Systematic Theology at Dallas Seminary for many years. He was also the second President of the Seminary. Dr. Walvoord was widely respected for conservative Biblical scholarship. He is now with the Lord.

There are 4 lessons in this course.

Lesson 1

Dr. John Walvoord systematically teaches the first chapter of this interesting book. He tells how this church came to be a model church. He touches on three familiar words that are often misunderstood: What is grace? Peace? Hope? How are we to handle suffering?

Lesson 2

Paul taught these Christians how to handle doctrinal error, false accusations, and persecutions. These are realities for every serious Christian. How do Paul’s motives in ministry for these people apply to us today?

Lesson 3

A great need for these believers and us is prayer. Since God commands us to pray without ceasing, how should we go about doing this? The Judgment Seat of Christ awaits Christians- What is this judgment all about?

Lesson 4

What is the “rapture” of the Church? When will it occur? What are some pre-warning signs of its coming? Who will be involved?
