Lesson 1

Rarely do we hear about the jealousy of God, yet God identifies Himself throughout Scripture as a jealous God. God’s jealousy is not like ours since He is holy. Can we ever be guilty of provoking God to jealousy?

Lesson 2

This lesson deals with the believer and bitterness. When we are hurt or offended, there is the tendency that we will respond with bitterness. Do we ever choose to be bitter, or does it just occur because we have been hurt?

Lesson 3

Fifteen reasons why prayer must be a priority in our lives. Prayer is to be a priority in our lives because we are engaged in spiritual warfare. We are commanded to pray. Prayer is a means by which we purify our lives in a practical sense. It guards us from sinning.

Lesson 4

Some reasons God doesn’t answer some prayers. We should be thankful that there are some prayers God does not answer positively. Is prayer a privilege to be enjoyed, or a right to be demanded?

Lesson 5

Just because we are believers does not mean we will not suffer. In fact, believers are promised that we will have suffering in this world. The promise of God is not that there is no suffering but that He will carry us through it. Is there any difference between what God does and what He allows?

Lesson 6

God does not shield us from sufering as believers. One reason for this is if God shielded believers from suffering, we would not have a credible witness to the world. This lesson gives five possible purposes in the suffering of a believer.

Singleness is tempting and a gift. It is not a stigma, and is not a second-class existence. Marriage brings with it the reality of the passing of this present world system. Both marriage & singleness are equally good. The question is, what is the will of God for us?
